The attached logo mockup is heading in a good direction, but am open to other concepts.
The logo should be clean, simple, and warm.
The name, Quadrid, should be in all caps, preferably in a sans-serif font. The word "Quadrid" by itself sounds corporate and cold, but the logo should be warm and personal (not corporate).
The logo needs to work equally well on both white and black backgrounds or have equal strong negative versions.
We like how the mockup incorporates various shades of blue, this does a good job symbolizing the diverse kinds of stories told through Quadrid's videos. We'd like to see stronger execution of this approach as well as other ideas for communicating diversity of content. One negative to this approach (using the current colors) is that the colors in the mockup don't have quite the contrast needed against black backdrop.
The mockup also has outwardly pointed brackets. We'd like some simple abstract mark(s) included, but not necessarily brackets. The outward brackets symbolize Quadrid's different approach to production and/or how they tell diverse stories (shades of blue) to an expanding audience.
To be clear, we created the mockup to help point designers in a helpful direction. We'd like you to use it as a starting point, but not be limited by it. Can't wait to see what you come up with!
A note for new designs: perhaps the brief wasn't quite clear about this, but we'd prefer that any included shapes be abstract...not film or tv icons like play symbols, camera icons, etc.
Also, if your design includes a "Q" icon, it should be included as part of the typeface, not a separate element.
