Of The Sun
I am starting a new upscale, hi-end conceptual cutting edge store called "Of The Sun".
This has very sentimental meaning to me because first off, i am a sun sign, secondly all living things thrive from the Sun. The Sun is a major life source. Do not take the "Sun" symbolism literally, Just giving you a background story of the name of the boutique. I recently took a trip around the world to find inspiration and vendors and artisans that i will be explore jewelry and accessories by artisans for the store. Imagine Opening Ceremony, OAK, Fred Segal's specialty store, but focusing on the environment, culture, markets and way of life from the different regions. Hi-end clothing. sleek. classy.
My targeted audience is the educated & progressive independent young adults that consider quality, esthetics and environment in their purchases.
Urbanites that maintain a love for both travel, nature and luxury.
Ages range of 25-34 the GENERATION X'ers whom can be described as well-educated generation who are resourceful, individualistic, self reliant and sceptical of authority. They will buy the cutting edge, most up to date coolest stuff there is in technology and fashion.
Unlike the Baby Boomers they are not interested in long-term careers, corporate loyalty or status symbols. But they do care for taste and originality.
35-44 the BABY BOOMERS. In their youth they were open-minded and rebellious but became more conservative in their 30’s and 40’s. Job status and social standing are important to this generation who tend to be optimistic, ambitious, and loyal, and believe that employment is for life. They created the concepts of “workaholic” and “superwoman”. He or she turns to "alternative" "new age" way of life in their later adult lives. Still wants to be hip and cool.
Logo should be clean and able to stand by itself.
When people look at the store sign or logo, they should be drawn in wanting to come in and explore. They should not be scared away by a sense of anxiety or overwhelmed to come into the store because the logo looks like an Ed Hardy shirt. I need a splash page for my website, so i would want the logo and the name of the store on a black page and have it look inviting and classy.
i do not want to see fonts like papyrus and herculanlum.
Think SLEEK, CLEAN, SIMPLE, MOD, HI-CLASS with a bit of flair.
