Synova Associates (combination of Synergy and Innovation) is a Leadership Consulting and Conference Company created to serve the educational and leadership needs of one segment of the nursing community (those associated with babies), although that focus could expand over time. Conceived by four women partners – two nursing professionals and two business experts - the business will focus on three areas of market need:
· A yearly leadership conference for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit [NICU] nursing Managers and Directors and their leadership teams
· Individual Manager/Leader Mentoring and Coaching
· Down the road – other consulting in the hospital around leadership teams or specific issues/topics
The tag line for the company is Innovative Solutions for Nursing Leadership.

The target audience primarily is Neonatal Nurse Managers and Directors (95% women but there are a few men). This demographic is primarily female between the ages of 40-55 years. Since the market is decidedly small, the partners have professional relationships with between 10-15% of NICU hospital leaders.
The partners do not have a preconceived notion for what it should look like – but fluid, circular shapes do appeal to the group. The logo will be used extensively on print materials, on the website, on clothing (embroidered) and in other marketing collateral.
Likes: Simple design, unique, clean. We like strong energetic colors without it being overly feminine (ie perhaps fuschia pink coupled with gender balancing colors). Professional fonts. Do not have to have the tag line as part of the logo.
Dislikes: Cartoons, clip art, pastels, ‘over’/busy design, too feminine, no whimsical theme. No babies. Not preppy. Not ethnic.
