We don't want serious, elegant, industrial, or professional. And yet, we don't want to look like a Willy Wonka wrapper either. This is, after all, supposed to be a return to the tradition of storytelling, but modernized. We picture a campfire, perhaps fireflies, the silhouette of a raconteur, iPhone in hand, and a titillated audience of kids, or maybe just their wide eyes. (If you can fit that into a square inch then you are a genius.)
We picture drawings, not photos. Cartoonish is ok. We don't have any thoughts on color.
We think it's important to emphasize that this app is about people. You wouldn't use this by yourself.
We are going to use this logo in two ways: on a web site and on an iPhone app. That probably means that we will need a simplified, text-free version for the phone. The version for the web should have the text "Pretty Good Storyteller" integrated into it somehow. The phone version must be a square, the web version doesn't have to be.
