We need to tell the success story that illustrates the ground-breaking nature of our product. Companies struggle to find and hire IT talent in a timely fashion, and part of that challenge is effectively screening for technical skills on the front end of the process. Recruiters are not technical and have to submit large numbers of resumes to find enough suitable suspects to hire. It makes the hiring process costly and expensive, especially when trying to hire IT candidates. We discovered a major study that shows the average number of interviews it takes to make an offer and we want to contrast it with the success ratio we generated in a pilot with a major software company.

Jobvite is the second largest ATS (Applicant Tracking System) vendor and they did a study that showed the average Interview-to-Offer ratio is 17%. We did a 2-month pilot with a software engineering client and their recruiters screened 155 candidates using TechScreen. Engineering managers did 40 phone interviews to select people for on-site interviews and they made 28 offers for a 70% hit rate. Our client is a 30-year-old investment software company whose clients have $25 Trillion in assets under management, so they have an extremely high bar in hiring. The success of our pilot has encouraged three of their groups to skip manager phone screens if a candidate gets a 75 or better on an interview using our product.
It is difficult to understate what a seismic impact this is introducing to an industry that sees companies spend over $140B a year on salaries, services and products to hire employees. Indeed.com did a study that shows US firms lose $160B a year owing to unfilled seats, so any tool that helps shortens the time to fill is a big deal.
