Jumpstart Foundry(JSF) is evolving from an experimental, mentor-founded, seed stage microfund (offering $15K in investment and mentorship in exchange for 10% of the company, to one company, once a month) into a formal, 14 week incubator that will have a much more focused program with the goal of launching 6 successful companies, prime for funding, by the middle of August.
Angel Investors and Startup Founders (entrepreneurs and programmers). Primarily in Nashville, then the SouthEast United States.
JSF needs a site that will communicate:
- The evolution of JSF from a once a month funding event into a focused (time and investment interest) 14 week cohort program called “The Foundry”.
- The JSF fund as a TNInvestco and Angel based fund, started at Solidus, with a focus on HealthCare IT, Social and Data Services.
- “The Foundry” as the premier mentor-based incubator in the US with a focus on HealthCare IT, Social and Data Services in the country.
The site must be clean, easy to navigate, and functional in all modern web browsers.
Ideally, the site would have a functional mobile version.
The site must run on Wordpress. The latest most secure version as of this brief.
The site should have two general layouts. Based on the Grid Layout (http://www.thegridsystem.org/) there should be:
- a 6 column wide (full body) layout
- a 4 / 2 layout
In the 4 / 2 layout, the two-column area will be reserved for calls to action for key conversions like applying to become a Foundry startup, mentor or angel. See Techstars for an example ( http://www.techstars.org/schedule/ )
Minimal Wordpress plugins should be used. Stick to the core as much as possible.
The Site must be able to support A/B testing tools such as Google Website Optimizer and Kiss Metrics by managing tracking and content serving tags in the Wordpress Admin.
