I have attached a detailed Word Press Creativity Brief so please download it and give it a read, I promise you will not be disappointed.
I will use this space to tell you a little about me. My entire life has built up to this very moment as I am about to embark on launching my very first business venture. I need help, from creative designers, plain and simple. I am 35 years old, I feel like I am still 19, even though I understand now that the 19 year old me would whoop the 35 year old me. I am very competitive and have played hockey nearly my whole life and now I am my 6 year old son's head coach in hockey. I have a great wife and beautiful 2 year old daughter.
Energy Engine is a powerful independent energy consulting firm that helps businesses reduce their electricity and natural gas rates. Energy procurement is the only thing we do and the only thing we know. We don't offer anything else.
From now on when I reference "energy" it means both "electricity" and "natural gas"
We are a start up company and need a designer to make us look absolutely massive, like Fortune 500 massive, professional, and very sleek.
The energy purchasing process is very technical and confusing so we need to communicate with simplicity and clarity without being too simple otherwise we understate our importance.
The decision makers are generally cost control managers and range from accountants to financiers. They used to be baby boomers but we want to market to older Gen X crowd or those in their mid forties. This is important as those in their mid forties look at their seniors (business men in mid 50s) as the embodiment of trust which is aligned with the core emotion that our brand is suppose to evoke which includes: trust, protection and security.
I need a corporate professional website that sizzles.
In the "Notes to Designers" file attachment I have included sample imagery. Feel free to use your own images if you feel you can find the right ones!

Notes To Designers
My promise to designers: Even though I have a deep background in marketing with an MBA in branding, I am not a designer and nor will I pretend to be one. I fully support the efforts of the creative teams I hire, in this case it is you. I believe you guys are the design experts and the marketplace (customers) are the judge, and jury of the brand. My role is to provide shape so YOU can design the best possible experience.
For those about to rock, we salute you!
I promise to run a blind contest once I receive at least 10 unique submissions.
I just ran a logo contest and received over 92 submissions and have many more deliverables coming after this contest.
