I need an icon to use for my iPhone app.
I would like a 512 x 512 icon. I also need the following sizes:
114 x 114
57 x 57
58 x 58
29 x 29
72 x 72
50 x 50
90 degree corners, no shine or gloss
The standard bit depth for icons and images is 24 bits (8 bits each for red, green, and blue), plus an 8-bit alpha channel.
no alpha transparency
The color palette I've used for my app is from here: http://www.colourlovers.com/palette…rnt_Autumn for no other reason than I liked it, sort of reminded me of a late sunset. I also sort of liked the 1970s colors. So, I think using those colors would be good. Other colors to think about are the silver, red, and blue from attachment emb01_LG.jpg---as that is what the aircraft I fly is painted.
The aircraft this is written for is the EMB-120 Brasilia airplane. It is a turboprop (so it has propellers and not jet engines).
I would like a stylized version of the whole airplane, or maybe a cross-section showing the prop and part of the fuselage. A cartoon effect with a nice, attractive icon appeals to me (Here is an example of an artist's style that I like: http://dribbble.com/flarup) Even an icon version of file emb01_LG.jpg (minus the SkyWest on the tail), using some of the burnt orange colors somehow I would like.
I think I would prefer no text--although EMB-120 could possibly be incorporated.
I have attached a few screenshots of the app (work in progress) to give you an idea of where the icon will lead.
I have also attached a few pictures of the EMB-120 aircraft so you know what it looks like.
One wildcard I like, which may or may not make sense to incorporate in the background is the iconic LAX restaurant that looks like it's from the Jetson's--I've attached an image in case you don't know it.
