Ariane Controls - http://www.arianecontrols.com - ACES Software
Ariane Controls are experts in powerline communications, i.e. using the power wires to transmit information. We own a communication technology that we sell to companies that want to integrate powerline communications to their products.
In order to help customers test the quality of our technology, we sell evaluation kits made of 2 circuit boards that communicate with one another. These 2 boards can be connected to a PC, and a software named ACES (Ariane Controls Evaluation Software) helps customers run communication tests.
The ACES software will be primarily used by engineers and people with a background in electronics. Though this is a very specific audience, we feel the icons should express innovation, modernity, technology and simplicity.
First of all, we are looking for an icon for the ACES software. We will not use the Ariane Controls logo as a software icon. The icon should look good in 16x16 format. The icon we are looking for is simple, yet has a personality. It can attempt to represent communications, but it can also be totally abstract.
Second, we are looking for an image to put in the About window of this software. A screenshot of the About box is attached, and displays the generic default image from Microsoft Visual Studio. The new image can be the ACES logo itself, or any creative use of the ACES logo and/or the Ariane Controls logo (attached).
Several files are requested for the project.
1- The .ico file for the software itself. Although standard icon sizes are requested, (16x16, 24x24, 32x32, 48x48, 72x72, 128x128, 256x256), it should be noted that the 16x16 and 32x32 sizes will be seen the most frequently. For your reference, a screenshot of the software is provided in the attached files. The .ico file must be compatible with both Windows XP and Windows Vista/7.
2- High resolution file of the icon image on a white background and another one with transparent background for web usage.
3- The image for the About Box to replace the generic image on the left. Presently, the image size is 131x259, but we will accept images of other sizes.
