I am starting a company that will provide modernist cuisine training to home cooks (currently only available to professionals) and offer culinary trips around the world. For example, a trip might consist of a trip to Penang where we will tour the markets, eat at a high end restaurant, take a cooking class on Malaysian cooking, and spend a day doing a street food tour. Regarding the modernist cuisine cooking courses, I will teach ambitious cooks how to use modernist equipment (sous vide, CVap, chamber vacuum sealers, etc) and use modernist ingredients like hydrocolloids and emulsifiers. Cooks will learn the science behind hwo things work. The company is a little science, and a lot of cooking and culinary adventure.

I like clean, modern design. I am a fan of Scandinavian design. I also love the American Arts and Crafts style of the early 1900s and some aspects of mid-century modern.
