Fling Yang
Fine Homes
We are a boutique residential real estate team - our clients are highly educated (senior level technology professionals, venture capitalists, attorneys, doctors, etc.), high earning, high net worth individuals.
I'd like to explore the following colors:
Dark neutrals: Formality, mystery, exclusivity and luxury.
Light neutrals: Purity, balance and sophistication.
We need the logo to be modern, crisp, sophisticated and clear.
We would like to use colors that are subtle and elegant (deep slate and light gray - the gray line may be swapped out for a thin gold line in some applications), nothing that shouts at you. We like Pantone 7545c as our primary color, but open to suggestions.
We mocked up a logo (attached), but are not wedded to this style or approach. A stacked logo may actually work better ("Fling /" on the top line, "Yang" on the second?)
Ideally, we want an element (in this case, the graphic of the house with our initials in it) that we can pull out and use as a recognizable, stand-alone "monogram" in specific applications. We could also use the element to separate our names so people know it's not one person's name (particularly in a horizontal logo). If you feel the "monogram" approach is too fussy, a simpler graphic to separate the two names would be ok (we started with a simple "Fling | Yang" before coming up with the monogram idea).
Things we don't like about the mock up: the font is a little too tall and round - something mildly shorter and wider (mildly!) might look less cartoon-y? A clean "serif" font may also work.
