I imagined the cover art to look a lot like this image that I found displayed on a YouTube music channel I frequent:
There should be a hint of a skyscraper at the left side of the cover. The character in my story is falling out of a skyscraper through a shattered window, and so I imagined there being broken glass falling all around her as well. It’s a stressful moment, but I imagined her having a look of serenity similar to the one in the artwork in the youtube video as she falls.
The character in the design doesn’t have to look exactly like an attached file I've added here (it's not a stock image so please do not use it within the actual cover design), but this girl is an example of what I imagined the main character Samantha Rhodes to look like since Samantha is of mixed races. She is also 19 years old, and I imagined her wearing a formal dress similar to the example shown here: https://www.lulus.com/images/produc…458432.jpg
Also, there are skyscrapers peeking up out of the clouds behind her to hint at a grandiose, futuristic city below with skyscrapers that reach through the clouds. There could also be a mild peek through the cloud coverage to see a wider sliver of the city's futuristic buildings below.
In addition, a big aspect of the story is there being adorable geckos that watch them all the time, and so I was hoping to incorporate some of those lizards into the cover art, potentially in the form of one of them being on a sheet of broken glass falling through the sky. And if possible I was hoping one could be present within the title lettering itself, or anywhere else you deem fit. I imagined them looking similar to the cute gecko seen at this url: https://i.pinimg.com/474x/49/ad/b7/…defd7b.jpg
There would only really be a focus on one main character in the art with Samantha Rhodes in my mind, though you could incorporate a flying red car in the distance as that would hint at a separate character coming to catch her as she falls.
Paperback dimensions I intend to use would be 5.5" x 8.5"
I was imagining using Trajan Font for the book cover, but I am more than open to the usage of other fonts utilized within the genre.
