It's titled The Best Public Speaking Book, so think of a way to convey its superiority as a public speaking instructional, possibly in a humorous way (maybe poking fun at the implied arrogance of titling it the best?), that would also remain professional. It's actually the best because a) it concisely covers all of the necessities (presentation development and organization, oral delivery, physical delivery, conquering nervousness, using a microphone, etc.), b) it includes the simplified core of quality public speaking instruction -- my Three Commandments of Public Speaking: Know Thy Material, Be Thyself and Practice, c) it's funny (not every paragraph, but definitely every chapter -- on average a joke of some sort every third page or so), d) it includes a plethora of expert self-help goal accomplishment, procrastination overcoming, high achievement advice (from Covey's 7 Habits to Neuro Linguistic Programming affirmations to a visualization exercise borrowed from hypnotist Paul McKenna), and e) includes friendly coaching and encouragement throughout (most public speaking books simply explain -- I present the best of the best instruction, constantly nudge the reader to get their nose out of the book and in front of a crowd, confess my own shortcomings, and liven it with sprinkled humor).
In a nutshell, I need a cover that will a) entice customers at Amazon to click and read more, and at the same time b) convey to speaking clients that I'm a high quality keynote speaker.
The vast majority of public speaking book covers are very bland and boring. I need this one to pop (humor is a bonus), and to promote those two primary goals (entice readers to check it out, and to impress future speaking clients -- businesses and event planners I'll send the book to when applying for speaking gigs).
