Create the next book or magazine cover for RM Wark

I have designed a preliminary book cover for my first Fantasy novel - but I've reached the end of my Photoshop talents.

I'd like you to revise/re-do/build upon the cover that I currently have so that it "pops" on sites like Amazon.

The Stewards of Reed is a series about powerful men who protect this ancient village with a variety of magical powers. Each Steward is "chosen" by a special mark that appears on the morning of his 13th birthday. The current Steward is 73 years old, but when his replacement finally arrives, the "mark" is not quite right.

I'd like this "mark" (see attached), or some simplified version of it, to play a role in the cover if possible.  In addition to the mark, other images that feature in the story include:  tall foreboding mountains in the distance; a large barren purple mountain; men in black hoods carrying torches; a ring of fire; a farm house; a green and white barn; an old man (73) and a younger man (13ish); and the young man's horse (black and grey). If images of people are used, I'd prefer that any faces are hidden or kept in the shadows. Thank you.
