Janette Byron Stone
Janette Byron Stone, M.Ed, is a native of Sydney, Australia who raised her family on the Canadian prairie and built a career as a music teacher. She found a new place to call home when she and her husband moved to Key West, Florida. When not on the road to visit family they now split their time between Key West and Idaho.
"Please Write" is a very personal story of being Australian during the Vietnam War. It glimpses the loneliness of the soldiers whose lives Catherine begins to share in the letters they write. The soldiers' voices are the common thread that taken together force Catherine into maturity. They are our reassurance that it is the ordinary people we meet in our daily lives who may influence us the most.
